This Privacy Policy explains how Prestige EduX collects, uses, stores, and shares information when schools and users access our school management platform. We design the Service for multi-tenant school operations and treat education data as sensitive.

2. Roles and responsibilities

Schools that use Prestige EduX typically act as the data controller for student, parent, and staff records they enter. Prestige EduX acts as a processor/service provider for that school data, and as a controller for account, billing, support, and platform-security information we need to operate the Service.

3. Information we collect

• Account data: names, email addresses, authentication details, roles, and school association.
• School operational data: student and staff profiles, admissions documents, attendance, grades, fees, communications metadata, and settings configured by the school.
• Billing data: subscription status, invoices, payment references, and credit purchase history processed through payment partners.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, logs, and security events needed to protect the Service.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide, secure, and improve the Service;
• authenticate users and enforce permissions;
• process subscriptions, trials, and communication credits;
• send transactional notices such as password resets and billing;
• detect abuse, investigate incidents, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use student records for advertising.

5. Sharing and subprocessors

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, databases, email/SMS delivery, object storage, authentication, and payment processing. These providers are engaged to process data on our instructions and under confidentiality and security expectations appropriate to their role.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate reorganization, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. International transfers

Prestige EduX may process data in Ghana and in other countries where our infrastructure or subprocessors operate. Where transfers occur, we take steps designed to keep personal data protected in line with this Policy and applicable law.

7. Retention

We retain account and school data for as long as the school account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After termination or deletion requests, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, dispute, or financial-record purposes.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures such as authentication, access control, tenant scoping, transport encryption, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; schools should also manage strong passwords, careful permission assignment, and secure handling of exported files.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law and your relationship with a school, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data. School users should first contact their school administrator for records the school controls. Account holders can contact us at support@prestigecomet.com for platform-account requests.

10. Children's data

Prestige EduX is used by schools to manage education records that may include minors. Schools are responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consents and for limiting collection to what is needed for school operations.

11. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Significant changes may also be highlighted in the product or by email.
